Data collected, stored and shared

What data we collect

Your account includes: username, email, password (hashed), preferred region and language. Your planting diary is private: it contains species, GPS locations, dates, propagation methods, notes and photos. Diaries are not shared publicly unless you mark an entry as public.

What we don't collect

We do not collect real-time geolocation data. We do not record EXIF metadata from photos; it is stripped before storage. We do not share data with third parties unless required by law.

Photo privacy

All photos are stored on Cloudflare R2. EXIF and GPS data is automatically stripped via Pillow before upload. Only you see your photos unless you publish an entry. Public photos appear anonymously on the community map without your name.

Delete your account

You can delete your account at any time. This will delete your user, diary, photos and all associated data. Public entries will not be deleted (they belong to the collective record). This action is permanent.
